hi i have the said air rifle and would like to tidy the rifle up (stock and barrel) and i would also like to put a new spring in it and give it a general overhaul, so i can hand it over to my 11yr old son, can you tell me if its an easy job that can be done by myself in my workshop. im a pretty hands on guy and can turn my hand to most things and fell that i could competently do you job just looking for advice for removal of the spring or even a link to a diagram would be greatly appreciated.

Here you go, mate. It's not fantastic but it's the best I can find. If you're fairly clued up about basic mechanical principles then you should be fine. Just be careful when you free up the spring from the cylinder, if it's in good nick it'll be under a fair bit of pre-load.

 

I hope your lad enjoys it, they're a decent old springer for a boy

Cheers for that I searched tinterweb for ages and couldn't find anything like that. The spring has seen better days so I would imagine that there isn't too much pressure behind it, I hope lol

Hi just done a 70 and 34 easy job to do the only hard part is getting pin back through the trigger and the end of chamber while trying to hold the spring in at ths same time atb

Cheers java I noticed that roll pin it looks easy enough to get out, I'm not looking forward to putting in back in under that pressure from a new spring though lol

Its not bad with the spring it only puts out about 9lbs its trying to line the trigger sears up and get the pin though the hole lot at the same time atb
